Born Susan Elaine Ronson on February 18th in St. Thomas, Ontario, Canada, Susan comes by her talent naturally. Her family has been performing for generations. Her father Robert Ronson sang on Canadian television; her grandmother Helen Walters sang on the radio in the late 30's (Susan was told that she sounds just like her); her great-grandmother Irene Baker played piano for the silent movies; and her great great-grandmother Elizabeth Brown was a stage actress. Susan's mother's family was also musically talented, but they didn't perform professionally. Susan herself has been singing since she was 3 years old when she sang Susie Snowflake in a church program.
When Susan's family moved to Utah her mom took a young Susan to the now deceased William Stoker for voice lessons. He coached many great singers including Johnny Mathis before his semi-retirement to Utah when he decided to coach new talent part-time. Thereafter, Susan won several contests and went on to be the first country singer to perform with the Utah Symphony. She sang on Eugene Jelesnick's Talent Showcase on KSL television in Salt Lake City, Utah, had a month long engagement at Mac's Casino in Wendover, Nevada, performed at the Peppermill Casino in Mesquite, Nevada, and performed for several months at Lonnie's in Printers Alley in Nashville where she developed a large following of fans from all over the country.
With so many new artists hitting the country music scene, a singer/songwriter has to have a unique voice to stand out. Susan has that with her deep velvety voice that captivates audiences instantly. She is reminiscent of a female Elvis but with her own smooth style. She is the future of county music.
In her spare time Susan enjoys singing in nursing homes for the elderly. She is also an advocate for opening sealed adoption records allowing adopted adults learn their heritage, medical histories, and opportunities to meet their biological families if the desire is recriprocated.
